Over his 20-year career in principle investing, John has structured, led, and invested over $1 Billion in over 20 platform companies and served as Founding Partner of Spring Rock Capital. Prior to serving as Chairman, John co-founded Silver Point Capital hedge fund, was a principal in America Capital Strategies/Waud Capital Partners, after starting in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
Mike has nearly 30-years experience in the steel industry working in production, R & D, quality control, and plant operations. No one has a greater eye for detail than Mike. When he is not directing the production of Pilot, Mike enjoys golfing, hunting, and cruising dirt roads in his side-by-side.
Jacob, the Director of Operations, started his career in 2010 as a fabricator at Pilot Door Systems. Over the next 13 years he has had the opportunity to learn every position available at Pilot; from production, estimating, project management to business operations. He is passionate about company and employee growth. Away from work Jacob loves spending time with his wife and dogs in the great mountains and deserts of Utah.
Over 27-year career of leadership and management experience in the military to include 6 combat deployments. Chris has led both small and large organizations both in and out of the Army. After his service as an Army Ranger, Chris was hired as a Chief Operating Officer of a startup coffee company in Austin. He holds several degrees in National Strategy, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, and Operations Research as well as graduated from the United States Military Academy.
Tim was hired in April 2024 as the controller for Pilot Door Systems, overseeing the company’s accounting/finance team. He has 8 years’ previous experience in finance/accounting roles. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree from North Central College, double majoring in Finance and Economics.
Nick Henrie began his career at Pilot Door Systems in production, where he gained product knowledge, lead times, and field installation. While also having spent multiple years in your construction management department, he now combines both areas of expertise in an effort to bridge the gap between production and construction. This includes purchasing all production materials, as well as implementing and managing our ERP System, and Inventory Control Operations.
Darren Scott joined Pilot Door Systems in the Spring of 2022 bringing with him over 20 years of experience in a variety of fields from construction to real estate to the automotive industry. Darren is passionate in learning all he can about the storage industry and the best ways Pilot can deliver quality projects to fill the needs of every customer.
With over 30 years of experience in sales, I am currently serving as the Sales Director at Pilot Door Systems, where I've been for the past 9 months. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of leading sales initiatives for top global brands, including Apple, Sears, Allstate, Time Warner, Dish Network, and Balanced Body. This extensive experience has honed my ability to drive revenue, build strong customer relationships, and navigate competitive markets.
Abel Davalos joined the company in December 2022 as a Project Manager for Pilot Door Systems. He has years of experience managing teams and is reliable, organized, and is able to manage projects from start to finish.
Cole Fassler joined Pilot Door Systems in August 2023 as a Project Manager. He has experience managing teams and projects along with being a reliable estimator. Cole's top priority is the customer and making sure the job is done right. Outside from work, Cole loves to attend sporting events and explore the outdoors as much as possible.
Mike came to Pilot Door Systems in July 2022 onto our production team. He brought with him a diverse and valuable background in welding, sheet metal production, and project management. While here at Pilot he has expanded his experience and skills making him a great fit to lead the hallway department. Outside of work, Mike finds joy in growing the best tomatoes and hottest peppers around.
Humberto started at Pilot Door Systems in March of 2021 in production. With his background in construction, Humberto has brought that mentality to Pilot with an eye for quality. Humberto is the manager in the door department and pushes himself and everyone around him for perfection. Outside of work, Humberto like spending time in the outdoors (off-roading and shooting guns) and spending time with his girlfriend.
Dave, an experienced professional with over two decades of experience in metalwork and the safe building industry, came to Pilot Door Systems in November, 2023. His maintenance expertise has had a great impact on our efficiency. In his spare time Dave enjoys his time in the outdoors and also working on cars. He loves to spend time with his wife and six amazing children.
Derrik started working in production in the hallway department, after a short time he worked his way to the lead of the department. His knowledge of all products in this department has made him an asset to Pilot. Recently he has been put in as the Shipping and Receiving Specialist to assure product will be processed and delivered to job sites safely. Outside of work, Derrik like to spend time outdoors with his wife and working on his personal vehicles.
